  1. 1. The kindest thing I ever saw done was my best friend staying up all night three nights in a row making curtains for my girls and then getting up early in the morning to joyfully feed and care for them while I worked. :)

    2. This could be a bit dangerous for me to post! :) but, facebook I think ;o)

    3. That I was a beautiful daughter of the King of Kings who loves me just as I am.

    4. P.S. I love you so I could be sung to by a beautiful Irishman and be fully and completely loved even just for pretend. :)

    5. Had a daughter on my own and then took in another daughter just because He asked me to! The two most wonderful Christmas presents I ever had :)

    6. Well, normally I'd talk about being a 'poster child' for UCP but now I'd have to say having my testimony up on screen at church .. pretty dang cool!

    7. Mary Magdalene because she believed that she was used and worthless until Jesus saved her and showed her how beautiful and precious she was.

    8. My best friend Tricia and my kiddos. They keep my feet on the ground and keep pointing me back to God.

    9. Gimpy smurf! :)))) heehee

    10. I learned to bowl in Dottie West's basement .. (she Sang duets with Kenny Rogers) :)

  2. 1) The kindest thing I ever saw done was....wow, I've been treated to so many, but I'll say it was the time that Kandy, our fearless leader, decided to handle a situation of our 6 year old neighbor stealing her daughters bike by buying the neighbor her own bike, having the kids knock on her door and run, and leaving her the new bike with a note that read "Love, Jesus" on it. :)

    2) Waste time? Me? Ok, fine I'll admit it: By watching Sopranos reruns.

    3) That I was the apple of His eye ;)

    4) I would star in Braveheart, so that I could carry the secret gleam, knowing he's about to go to battle for me.

    5) I gave my bible to the man who was throwing me and my son out of the house, right as I was packing to go.

    6) Let me get back to that...

    7) Mary because she felt real fear and still trusted God.

    8) My family, because I can just be me and still know I am loved.

    9) Food snob Smurf ;P

    10) Im actually........... a yankee.

  3. 1. One of my girlfriends took several hours out of her day to come to my house and help me clean and organize and do laundry because I had felt so overwhelmed.

    2. When I worked outside the home...it was definitely playing on the internet.

    3. That my parents had some faith in the things they taught me and trusted me enough to make good decisions.

    4. J-Lo in The Wedding Planner...wedding dresses, mathew m. (can't spell it)...how wonderful!

    5. A stranger walked up to me one evening and asked for money to eat at Taco Casa. I asked my husband for cash for her (even though we needed it) and I gave her my book I had just finished reading...The Power of a Praying Woman. I told her that Jesus loved her.

    6. I got married...all eyes were on us!

    7. I really don't know...I need to read more about the women of the Bible.

    8. My 2 1/2 year old....she thinks I'm amazing!! She's too young to see all of my faults and she just loves me.

    9. I just didn't really watch the smurfs.

    10. I am a "natural freak"...homeopathic, holistic, herbs....anything natural!! I prefer home remedies!

  5. 1. What's the kindest thing you have ever seen done either by you or someone else?
Well, there are a zillion of course.... but one thing that comes to mind is when my DH makes a fire in the morning for us, even though he will be off to work and won't enjoy it.

    2. What is your favorite way to waste time at work without getting caught?
Checking email and facebook! (I work at home)

    3. What is the one thing you would have liked to have been told as a teenager but weren't?
"You are beautiful and delightful just as you are"

    4. If you could have one starring role in a film that has already been made which one would you pick?
Kate and Leopold; I love the Leopold's chivalry and impeccable behavior, as well as his humor. I think I would be a lot kinder than Kate too!

    5. What's the most outragous thing you've ever done for God?
Been kind when it was unwarranted

    6. It's said that "everyone has 15 minutes of fame" What happened in your fifteen minutes.
Got a standing ovation at CTCC for singing "When I Call on Jesus"

    7. What woman in the Bible do you most closely identify with and why?
Abigail; she hurried to obey (working on that) and had to pacify the king about her hubby...

    8. What or who makes you feel most secure and why?
I think that is something lacking in my life. My counselor and I are trying to get to the bottom of that one!

    9. If you were a smurf what would your name be?
I didn't watch the smurf's so I'm not sure if there is a pattern to how they are named. I suppose it would be Betty Andretti (I love going fast on the mountain passes when it isn't icy) or Yellow Smurf (if it's a color thing)

    10. Something interesting about me you might know is.... what?
I love to sing. If even one person asks me to sing for them, I do it!

  6. WOW! I'm a fearless leader?!? :) Chelsea I'm so with you on the Wedding Planner! :) Betty, I added 'When I Call on Jesus' to my playlist after I read this but it's just not the same as when you sing it!
    I hear you humming! :)

  8. 1. A co-worker and I don't see eye-to-eye on a lot of things, and tend to avoid each other. One day I had an object, which I collect, break on my desk. Time passed, and one day she walked up to be with a replacement of that item. No reason, she said she saw it and wanted to buy it for me. It kind of broke the ice for us, and how we are closer.

    2. Playing yahoo games with co-workers

    3. Wait

    4. Little Women

    5. Came back to him

    6. Still waiting on that :)

    7. Ruth because her story illustrates the triumph of courage and ingenuity over adverse circumstances.

    8. Robert - my partner, we are a team plain and simple

  12. I guess I should share too, even though I'm extremely late joining in.

    1. The nicest thing anyone has ever done can't be summed up into one moment or one event. I went through a difficult time, when my son was hospitalized for about a month several years ago. I had a very dear friend that would drive me to and from the hospital, because she couldn't bear the thought of me driving alone, she sat with me almost daily (so I wouldn't cry alone), and call me daily.

    2. To be honest, I can honestly say that with nearly 20 Kindergartners, I can't waste time while I'm at work. They keep me on my toes, and our instruction time is so precious.

    3. You don't have to do things perfectly to try and please me. I am proud of you for who you are.

    4. Notebook. To experience a "perfect, everlasting, unconditional kind of love that conquers all" is every girls dream, isn't it?

    5. Embarrassingly enough, I can't think of anything outrageous that I've done for God.

    6. I'm not sure I've had my 15 minutes of fame. Maybe that's something to look forward to? Although I don't really like to be the center of attention. It makes me extremely uncomfortable.

    7. Unfortunately, I think of myself as a Martha. I'm always trying to get everything "just right" in order to gain everyone's approval. I struggle with remembering what really matters. I want to be a Mary.

8.My best friend. She loves me just for who I am, but she also cares enough about me to be honest even when it hurts.

    9. I never watched the Smurfs.

    10. I was born in Heilbronn, Germany. My mom was born and raised in Germany. She met my dad when he was in the service over there. After they had me, they moved to the states. Unfortunately, she never taught me a word of German.

  13. Corinna,
I'm so glad you took the time to post this! One of the awesome things about a blog is there really is not a bad time to post. The more we post the longer the conversation lasts. I love that!
I think you are right about 'The Notebook' and what every girl wants. As we continue our study we will all start to see the origin of this universal desire of a woman's heart is in the Creator :) Way to be in touch! I'm so excited to see what God has in mind for us! :)
